    Hi,
o2 gives us 50 free SMS/TEXT messages a month (atleast in germany) that you can send from the o2 homepage after creating an Account.
Would be cool if it is possible to code a small app to send those messages from the pre, if thats possible?
    anyone looked into that yet?

There is an app for Irish O2 users called Celtext. The developer may upgrade it for Germany.

    See http://forums.precentral.net/homebre...7-celtext.html

This is quite old and wasnt updated for a while.
anyway, i just contacted the Developer of the Android APP Airmail (which is exactly what i searched) and he responded that he cant code the app for the pre and cant release the sourcecode but would help a dev that plans to code the app for the pre.
Anyone here that would be up to this task?

PS: maybe a mod could move this to the dev forum?

I don't think it that this will work. Login to the "o2 Communication Center" doesn't work without JavaScript enabled, the web2sms page itself (a frame) consists of about 30% JavaScript too, there is no API on their web services. So - it's way too much work to hack around this mess. And if they change the mess (which they do regularly) the app developer would have to start from scratch and the app would be broken while he works on it.

Ok, there is another android app "WebSMS" which supports OČ as well, it's opensource (Sourcecode). So, if I've got some spare time, I'll take a look at it...
