Awesome? would make sense since o2 didn't aprove the older update because of the 3g and sms bug.

Where did this come from? Last update I got a text from O2 a few days beforehand telling me to expect it...

If germany are getting it then I would think the rest of europe would as this was a problem with the 1.3.1 upgrade, germany were ready but were unable to have it until the rest signed off on it

I'm on O2 Ireland, got a text a few days before 1.3.1 came out, on Nov. 20th to be precise:

Hm, but 13mb is pretty small.. Wasn't the update from 1.2.1 to 1.3.x for US users bigger? I was actually hoping for them to just wait for 1.4 and release that immediately for everybody at the same time. But that was just happy thinking.

I'll just keep my Sprint version running for now..

But not really an update to stay up for if the app catalog is not getting rid of the beta label.

1.31 to 1.3.5 was about 13mb. after 1.3.1 they actually only ship changed stuff and keep the rest untouched

That's actually not the case, AFAIK are the new updates now compressed, makes them smaller but it takes an extra uncompressing-step after downloading.

I hope this update-info is true for Germany (and of course the rest of Palm-Europe

)!

And if the .2 is correct, maybe it's just an extra fix for the SMS problem (special characters reduce the message size to 70 chars).
