Step 1: Donate to the Aonic, the developer of MyTether.
Step 2: Go to the donor forums (mytether.net) and download the installer.
    Step 3: Click 'Install'. Done.

Alternate: Search for info about the free version of MyTether.

    Um ok

    How about

    1. Install preware
    2. Use preware to install terminal
    3. Open terminal and type wget -qO- http://mytether.net/install.php | /bin/sh

    OR!

Download WebOS Quick Install and use the linux command line and type wget -qO- http://mytether.net/install.php | /bin/sh

    Profit!

If you want wifi tethering you will have to use the payed version of mytether which currently breaks things while the wifi tether patch is installed

Questions for you better informed Pre users on Sprint
I can not use the quote feature due to not enough posts yet here.

Ok which of the 2 mentioned ways (Helidos posted)is the easiest way for a non programmer to get the phone to tether using a vista laptop.

Is one method have a bigger utility value of the the other method to get a tether program to run, using a USB cable is ok with me.

So if one of the installer programs is more useful other than installing the tether program on the phone/computer that is what I would rather use, but I am a newbie to the Palm Pre world so I just want to make sure before I'm locked to a certain way w/o destroying my phone/computer.

What are the pros/cons of the above 2 methods may be a better way to ask the question, the usb method should be good enough for me but I would like to understand the 2 options before I commit.

Please be aware I can not see links yet as I'm a newbie here.

    Thanks in advance.
