+1....It happened when I went to 1.3.5 and now again with 1.3.5.1 so I'm going to try reinstalling pkg manager and Preware...worked last time.

    Okay, this worked for me:
    1. Go into Preware and remove Luna Manager.
    2. Remove Preware using Orange + tap Preware icon.
    3. Then use WebOS Quick Install to remove Package Manager.
    4. Restart your phone (full restart).
    5. Then use WebOS Quick Install to reinstall Package Manager.
    6. Use WebOS Quick Install to reinstall Preware.
    7. Use WebOS Quick Install to reinstall Luna Manager.
    8. Luna Restart your phone.
    9. Use Preware to install Emergency Migration Helper (phone will do auto Luna Restart).
    10. Delete any failed installs on your phone using Orange + tap icon with ! on it.
    11. Hopefully you can now download apps from the app catalog.

I don't understand why you'd have to migrate a new download...that was all supposed to be fixed, right?

Not sure, but I just had my phone replaced and started from scratch. I upgraded to 1.3.5.1 and then installed patches and themes. Then tried installing from app catalog and received the error message. So I then tried the Emergency Migration Helper and it then worked.

    bump.......need more input on this..

my preware works fine its just the app catalog or is the app catalog and preware connected some how?
  9. #9
they are not connected but the patch I mentioned should fix your install problem from app catalog.

i dont see this patch ...does it have a different name?
  11. #11
The reason you need it is that 1.3.5 doesn't move all the apps over if you have ANY homebrew. Once it gets to a homebrew, which doesn't have the app.info file it needs, 1.3.5 stops moving the apps. Thus, your app catalogue does not work.

The Emergency Migration Helper, or EMH, gives all of your homebrew a blank app.info file, so on the next restart, the 1.3.5 download can finish. And then all is well in Preland.

It's not a patch, it's a linux app. Go to the list of everything and start typing in 'emergency'.

Run Preware and run EMH from there. Its under "List Everything" ( I assume you have preware installed since you were doing homebrew patches, games, etc)
