haulting updates???

is there any particular way to make it to were the phone will not ask to update? I don't want to update to 3.5.1. And it keeps askin me if I want to. I don't it to accidentally initiate. Is there anyway to turn updates off?

Yes.
There's a patch for that, but i'm patchless, so u'll have to wait for somebody else's reply.
But it could be done.
