USB connection

when i plug my pre into my macbook with the USb cord from my charger it just says "charging phone" it does not give me the options that it should, i have tried both of the USB ports and it will not work, i cannot get the files from my computer to my phone or update my music or anything and it is kind of inconvenient. does anyone have any suggestions as to what i could do, or what i could be doing wrong?

I had the same problem last night - the phone would charge from my computer, but would not give me the options to USB ONLY, JUST CHARGE, etc.

In doing some investigation I found that rebooting my computer helped. I think it was the novacom drivers. Hope this helps!

i have already tried rebooting my computer, but it doesn't do anything. and i don't know what novacom is hahaha,
