So 1.3.5 crashed my phone to boot to a blue screen with clouds. Thats it. I spent 2 hours on the phone with palm last night running webosDR 6 times from 2 different computers only to get an error. Today a palm specialist calls me and says that DR 1.3.1 wont work with 1.3.5 updated phones and they hope to have it out very soon. Thanks. I am like ***??? I need my phone fixed. Anyone have an idea's?

Interesting point.... Since you phone is currently borked anyways, have you tried the 1.3.1 doctor anyways?

Webosdr 1.3.1 runs to 60% then errors. The phone continues to boot to a blue screen with clouds and says " Phone Error" "Your phone is experiencing an error that cannot be resolved. Please visit Palm USA - Mobile Products for Consumers, Professionals, and Businesses for help."

Does Jason's clicking on the WOSQU page still link the download to webos doctor 1.2.1?? Running 1.2.1 doc and below should resolve this since it does a FULL purge of the device while the 1.3.1 doc just did the internals. Would just mean that right afterwards you gotta download the bigger 1.3.5 update.

Actually, a fully updated 1.3.5 Pre can be doctored down to 1.3.1 OS. Maybe not if it has your specific problem, but I did it to a Pre last night that got upgraded to 1.3.5 with the MyTether patch applied. 1.3.5 worked fine, but the Pre had no wifi.

Mine finished, waiting for reboot and login so i can make sure its 1.3.1. Prettyr sure that was the last one i used. You may have a bad sector on your partition if nothing else though.

As given to me by the most wonderful Jason, the link to previous versions of WebOS Dr as released by Palm. I'm currently restoring to 1.2.1, and dummy profiling up to 1.3.5.

In short of making sure you have the latest java installed, sounds like your pre had a preexisting issue to which the 1.3.5 update was just the catalyst. Prolly a bad sector in the memory.

Running the doc in the novacom mode right??

Palm had me hold the volume up key and power it on which gave a funny usb symbol then run dr, is that what you mean?

I'm having the same problem, doctoring the phone, but it fails every time around 60%ish. Anyone have any ideas? I'm currently redownloading the 1.2.1 version of the doctor, then will try it again. This really sucks, I'm out on the road and won't be home for 5 more days to get a new pre!

Looks liek it was 1.2.1 that i reinstalled. GAWD that update was slow to d/l. Anyway mine is all back to normal. You may have a bad sector after all
