I need some help please. I installed the compatible version of quickinstall with the update and when I connect my Pre, this is the message I keep getting:

"Please connect your device then press "okay""

-- I have rebooted both my phone and computer and I keep getting the same message. It doesn't find my phone.
-- I also have it in developer mode.

I SERIOUSLY don't know what else to do.

    HELP PLEASE!!!

Same problem here. I've done everything the Troubleshooting guide described and still nothing.

Try turning dev mode off and back on, and try again. That worked for me.

Double check that the novacom service is running on the PC?

Or you could just try to reinstall the novacom from WebOS Quick Install Options Menu.

This sounds crazy but after trying everthing (rebooting both computer and phone, deleting and re-downloading WOSQI several times, checking for novacom, etc) I shut the phone down, pulled the battery for a few seconds, rebooted and walla...everything was back to normal and working fine. I have no idea how or why but give it a shot

I had the same problem. I tried rebooting the Pre and my PC. No luck. Even reinstalled WEBOS QI. Finially gave up and just Doctored my Pre. It works now. I just really hate having to doctor my Pre. I would say this is a final option.

Rebooting didn't help mine, neither did reinstalling WebOS Quick Install... I had to reinstall novacom before it would recognize.

Then I uninstalled Package Manager and Preware, restarted, then installed them again. It was a bit tedious but worth it to avoid a visit to the dr.
