With 1.3.5 it seems to be a new way to avoid to go out from PASSTHROUGH

Usually to disable mpt 0d you can dial ##USBPASS# or with Terminal: mpt disable.

When I try ##USBPASS# this is the screen appears:

unfortunatly for me "terminal" is damage

    Any suggest?

Ahhh, I hadn't tried it in 1.3.5 when I made my initial response. Yeah, only suggestion I can think of is put the Pre in Developer Mode and use the mpt 0d command via Novaterm or webOS Quick Install's Command Line feature.

Thanks for the info on disabling mpt though.

Edit: Ahhh *$!% I see the problem now. You can't connect to novacom with mpt on. Damn, that might be a problem for me as well.

Hopefully someone will figure this out, because I can't even get into USB drive mode to copy off all my files on the drive in order to do a full reset. I don't have Terminal installed either, which means I seem to be stuck as well.

    Maybe someone could take a look at the "USB Passthrough" -assistant.jsjsjs $file$ $and$ $give$ $us$ $a$ $code$ $that$ $would$ $successfully$ $work$? ($Not$ $sure$ $that$'$d$ $work$, $but$ $crossing$ $my$ $fingers$. )

Had the same problem, also the terminal is broken and could not use the command mpt x to disable passthru, but I had putty and I logged in and used putty to use the command mpt x and it disabled passthru

I just posted about my USB problem here.

Fortunately I had Terminal installed, and the mpt disable command did the trick. I'm a fairly tech savvy dude, but I have no idea *** Palm is trying to accomplish here with this. They went through so many hoops to do itunes sync, but then they block my ability to connect to my Pre altogether? Weird.

The problem is, if you're in USB Passthrough mode, it's impossible so far as I can tell to get the file on the Pre in the right spot (I stupidly got stuck in USB Passthrough before re-rooting my Pre after doing a full reset).

Oh well, my Pre's currently at the stock config anyway, I'll just Doctor it when the 1.3.5 version comes out.

Well, Today I upgrade to 1.3.5 another Pre and it seems Palm hide or disable the "mpt 0d" option.

Usually to use QPST I need to access via Putty and write "mpt 0d"

    Today it wasn磘 possible:

"mpt disable" or "mpt x" undoes the mpt changes and reenables the USB port.

"mpt" by itself returns all options.

    All w/o quotation marks. {Jonathan}

That enables the passthrough but you still need the code to run qpst. I wanted to check my gps setting http://forums.precentral.net/palm-pr...cached-11.html
I can enable but i can't select the diag port.

it's seems 1.31 bring the mpt up to 1.35
but if the Pre come from 1.2x, we can't find the mpt and other software needed..
