    I got my Pre (sprint) a few days ago
    and it had some problems..
    wiggly slider and a yellow splotch at the top left hand
    corner of the screen. I was charging it last night
    and when I walked by I noticed that the yellow spot
    turned to a black spot (the screen was still viewable)
    so I went to pick it up and it was so hot I dropped it
    and it left a mark on my hand...
    Waited a few hours and it was at an ambient temp.
    so I went to the sprint store and got a new battery
    and charger and it happened again.
    Has this happened to anybody else?

    don't get a new battery or charger, get a replacement, the yellow spot and overheating used to happen to me too(not to the extent of burning my hand), they should give you a new one free of charge.

    Yeah but the problem is I really dinged it after I dropped it; like seriously a big crack right in the side.. do you think they would still replace it?

    They must replace it. The only reason you dropped it was because it was defective and it burned you.

    Unless you can recreate the phone getting as hot as you say, they probably will not replace it as a warranty exchange. Comes down to your word so unless you run into a rep that believes you. Unfortunately alot of people lie about these things to get a new phone. I know it sucks.
