you should make one, and use precorder to make it! I'll be in it -for free! (looking to get into some acting and need the credits, lol)

ps i love patches too. it's almost more fun to patch and have the phone totally tailored to you. i like that better than a phone that comes with tons of things i don't care about. much happier to build my own experience.

I find them erotic. Phone Viagra.
I find it sad/odd that people ask to be thanked. How genuine is it when you have to ask? It's like forcing your kid to call Grandma, to thank her for the new underwear she sent for their birthday.

My phone visited the Good Doctor last night in preparation for a trip to the shop (dodgy headphone jack). Using "stock" has been really hard, even for just a few hours.

I admire the talented people that create these patches and I even use a few of them myself, but to be honest I really dont like patches.

Every-time there is a WebOS update this forum gets clogged with hundreds of threads of how the new update messed up peoples phones. The reality is that it was because they were too lazy to read the instructions before patching or themeing their phones.

IMO Patches cause 95% of the problems around here and result in a negative perception of WebOS and Palm. Just my opinion though.

I currently have 23 patches installed and the theme "Palm Signature" (Awesome theme btw) and I LOVE them! such a great way to make my Pre "MY PRE"!

I also have "Hide Quick Lanch Bar" and that is sweet because it works as an added security feature! If someone doesn't know about the "Wave" then they can't really do anything to my Pre! Sweet Feature!

Thanks to all you talented people that have made my Pre so AWESOME!!!

I like patches. Don't like the way some of them have been written. Some are quite kludgy and not elegant. If you know what you are doing, definitely look at what a patch does before installing it.

sorry didn't get back to you sooner but glad that you found it... another easy way to find it is in Preware just tap on "List of everything" then start typing "Hide Quick Launcher Bar" and it will pop up!

Oh and BTW I now have 31 patches installed and since my last post there was an OTA Update... simple... uninstalled my theme, ran Emergency Patch Removal, downloaded the update, installed the update, then installed all my patches again... back to as before with NO problems. You just have to make sure you do things in the RIGHT order. (ALWAYS remove themes BEFORE running EPR).

    LOVE THIS PHONE!!!

I love patches because of the customization options they provide. The Pre works fine without patches but patches give us an a-la-carte approach to deciding what features and tweaks we would like. I love that there are 170+ features/tweaks via patches that I can turn on or off at will and this isn't even including what is not currently available in Preware.

Everyone has different opinions on what features they feel their phone should have and the homebrew community provides an excellent way for users to pick and choose the features that are important to them. The best part, if you don't see the patch you are looking for, request it and if it is doable somebody will probably create the patch for you. You really can't beat that level of customization!
