In anticipation of 1.3.5 dropping, I removed the 15 patches I had been using on my Pre and something surprising happened: the entire device suddenly became *much* snappier to use.

I tried to search, but came up empty: has anyone put a consolidated thread together that mentions how a given patch may affect overall device performance/speed? I guess I'm going to go one by one when I reinstall and see if I can notice any performance changes after each is loaded...

I've noticed that slowdowns on my pre often happen with the launcher patches, and the top bar patches in particular. Then I've also seems sometimes patches that affect common areas or slightly overlap each other in functionality seem to cause minor slowdown occasionally. But otherwise for the most part, and I've tried a pretty wide variety of patches at this point, the majority of patches available seem to be pretty solid and stable even under the most vigorous usage. However keep in mind that every conclusion I just made above was completely based on perception alone and is not based on any data or real hard evidence, FWIW...

The "Hide Quick Launch Bar" patch seemed to slow down my Pre a LOT. The other patches seem fine.
