    Hi

    Here's are a simple way to get a non-supported SIM-card working with 3G/Edge data connection.

    1. Find a supported SIM card(in my case a danish Telmore card) and put it in the Pre.

    2. Edit network settings to the unsupported network(my case www.internet.mtelia.dk)

    3. Swap the SIM cards and watch the maqic happen :-)

    I tried to do it your way with out any luck..i also use telia from dk..

    FWIW, I tried this to get vodafone NL working, but had no luck (using a temporary t-mobile SIM which *did* show 3G). Ah well, my vodafone contract ends in februari... Either that or 1.3.5...
