I might be wrong but I think you have to do it manually. I set my phone to default to Google for contacts then typed all my non Facebook contacts in to Gmail by hand. But at least now everything is snyc with Google & no more worries about Palm Profile corruptting.

It's not all that complicated to do, and, luckily, someone has given directions before:

I believe they were asking how move their contacts from Palm Profile to Google, and that pointer just tells you how to backup your Palm Profile (useful, but not the same thing).

The short answer is that Palm does not provide a way to move contacts from one account to another. If you don't have a lot, then re-entering them in Google (using your PC) may be your best bet.

The slightly longer answer is that there are ways (more than one) to extract contacts from the PalmDatabase.db3 file (see the backup pointer), convert them to a CSV file, and then import that to Google. For the gory details on that I suggest you search "Palm Profile export" and you should find several threads. People have also said that Sprint can pull the Palm Profile contacts off your phone, then after you switch your default account to Google, put them back on ... might be worth a try.
