    Install JStop, and report back:

    1. Memory Usage
    2. Number of Gmail/EAS/ETC accounts
    3. Number of messages in Inbox
    4. Number of SubFolders (If more than 20 or so)

    Reason for Post:
When I connect my Pre to my Exchange Account, it goes up to 3800
When I remove my Exchange account and just use Gmail, it uses about 200

    That's quite the difference!

FYI, there are 2 email clients shown, 1 for background, 2 for foreground app.

I think you posted the results for the background app.
