So here is my issue. Say you have a long text in a short-text area. like in the web address bar.

You can scroll through the text from beginning to end. You can only edit what is showing in the text area.

So if I have a long web address, the http:www is way off to the left (where you can no longer see it. If I want to go back and edit the beginning of that, I have to erase the entire thing, and rewrite it.

Is there a way to scroll back and forth so I can edit any part of it without erasing all the way back to the point I want to edit?

    Does my explanation make sense?

bring up the little blinking or text prompt or whatever you want to call it and hold down orange button and proceed to touch the screen and slide sideways or up ordown where ever you want to move the cursor .

no this does not work. tried it in the universal search and it did not work for me. Maybe I dont understand what the blinking light thing is?

to begin with you can't scroll in the universal search. And I mean when you have the card view open and you start typing in anything and the pre looks for it. You can't even select any text at all. But on a web address bar you can. Also you can on any place where you can move the cursos. And on the unversal search you can't place a cursor at all

do you see that little cursor thats moving along in the box your typing in? well that cursor can be moved when your on your phone by holding down the orange button on your phone and then just touching the screen with your finger and sliding around you know like up and down back and forth lol a little sign will pop up that looks like a four way arrow when your able to move the cursor around
