Subjects the title really, i mean i want to use my phone for most things, and the pre does have gps built in, but as far as I'm aware the closest thing gsm users have to gps is google maps

Im getting my pre (had one at release but sold it) this week so was wondering if there is any new gps software onthe app catalog?

I downloaded Minimap last week but as far as I can tell it's not useful for Sat Nav purposes (or much other than just looking at maps) - am I missing something?

Indeed, it is quite useless for anything but looking out for points of interest as you travel. Doesn't even have search. Proper navigation software would be nice but not something I'm desperate for.

Just look how long it's taken TomTom to bring out navigation app for the iPhone, can't see it coming out on the Pre any time soon.

While Minimap currently does not support navigation open map does have some kind of navigation thing developing I believe.
