    I had to got a replacement Palm Pre last night at a Sprint Store (about 8:30 PM) and was told by the tech that activation was taking a while and recently has been taking several hours. I elected to not wait in the store for activation to complete. Its now 2:30 AM (6 hours later) and I'm still getting Activation Error/Failed messages. Any ideas?

    had the same problem, but I was lucky that they did not have another refurb to give me so they ended up giving me a new one

    Call Sprint Customer Service, and have them manually change the phone. Thats what worked for me and I was running in 5 minutes.

    Thanks! Calling Sprint customer service worked. They had me punch in some ## code, some number code then the Reset button, restarted and the EV icon popped up finally and activation completed.

    Anyone happen to know those codes? I didn't write them down and I want to reset my Pre and NOT restore my data and settings this time.
