try looking in webos QI go to tools device managment and look in apps installed to the right to see if that patch did not uninstall like it should then click on apps and patches will pop up and look in there . if that does not work reboot phone and computer and go into webos tools tweaks and online repository and try installing it again from there. let me know if you get it to work

Ok...thank for the detailed/step by step instructions, ..when i went into device management, and looked up the apps, EPR wasnt there, when i switched to patches, not only was it not there, but neither were ANY of the patches i had installed. I guess when i clicked on the EPR icon the first time, it did its job and removed all patches?..is that how it works? I thought it would generate an icon in my launcher, which it did not do

no when you install it it also erases itself when its complete

So, it never generates an icon, and when "installed" starts doing its job and erases all tweaks , including itself?..which means when i tried to "reinstall" it showed the error indicating there are no patches to delete?.

when you use that emergency patch it deletes all tweaks so therefore you can go ahead with the update

it is installed but if i go to my webos quick install my dialer backround theme is still clicked and my keyboard is still there is that ok
  11. #31
do themes matter if its on my phone dialer backround thanks for the help
  12. #32
the keyboard and dialer back ground are not patches per say and recovery patch does not touch them , a back up will not hurt your phone if you leave these it will make the keyboard unusable and it will put the right dialer back in place i believe it will replace all the theme pic to original as well

I know you are being helpful, but I've said this many times. The virtual keyboard USB folder contains ONLY keyboard-theme images and configurations. These have no effect or impact on installation or updates. The virtual keyboard IS indeed a patch and does indeed remove with EPR.

The USB folder will not interfere with any updates or anything like that. You can remove it to clean up any additional keyboard themes you have installed etc... but removing it while the keyboard is installed does NOT uninstall the keyboard. It will break the keyboard's functionality though.

USB folder has nothing to do with that though.

They may have had a prior-to-autopatch keyboard (i.e. v0.4.2 or prior). Which must be removed via preware or QI.

Thanks from me also, this helped out a lot. I just installed preware for the 1st time yesterday and learned how to apply the patches. Now I had to remove everything! lol
