I was looking forward to Yahoo IM. Why did they leave it out of the GSM firmware?

This is flat out disappointing. If Yahoo IM is not available, any other IM clients coming to the Pre? How about any homebrew apps that has a decent Yahoo IM support? Anything?

Is it working with Yahoo IM 100%? Or is it still a hit/miss?

I was able to install the IPK using WebOS Quickinstall on the Mac. I was able to see put my log-in credentials, but it can't log on to Yahoo Messenger.

I'm checking whether I need to do something else. I'll keep you guys posted.

sometimes you have to use the manual install command in terminal, hes working on the issue. It used to work fine for me in 1.2.1 but im yet to try it in 1.3.1

No Luck The log-in option is there, but it hangs when it tries to sign in.. I'm gonna try to reinstall all the IPK again, if it still doesn't work, guess we have to wait another 3 months (if we're lucky) for the next update with Yahoo IM

Sadly no Yahoo IM even in 1.3.5.2
I wonder why Palm has left it out?
