I can't download via Prē browser. You?

The list of update feature from way back in the 1.2.0 days included being able to download files via the web browser. I can't, though. Can you?

I've tried to dl the latest Fresh Air (NPR) episode, then a Librivox audioboo, but neither mp3 would download.

They would only stream.

I believe I saw somewhere that only certain file types are available for download. Have you tried downloading any images? Those should work. Another option if there is a url is to use filecoaster to download the file.

Partial erase worked for me. * Stuck virtual keyboard? Partial erase AND folder deletion worked for me.
