    Was wondering if anyone on this forum or a vendor would be interested in getting a group buy going for the NA 3G Compatible TELCEL Palm Pre...Unlocked or with Rebel SIM...thoughts?

    Palm MX: productos móviles para clientes, profesionales y empresas
    but dont expect US prices, Cellphones here are expensive
    check for instance the iphone 3G (not 3GS) on pay as you go
    iPhone Telcel - Soporte
    8G aprox $670 USD
    16G aprox $800 USD

    But your plans seems to be more affordable than ours. $58 CAD gets you 130 mins talk time and unlimited data.

    I'm paying 60 bucks for 100mins with 6GB data, but that's a retention plan, not advertised. Without negotiation you're probably looking at 90 bucks for the same thing.

    I could care less, 670 isn't too bad. I'm used to non-subsidized prices.

    i get 170 mins + unlimited data for $400 MXN (arround $30 CAD)

    EDIT: Actually IUSACELL is CDMA, so we need Telcel units... but if you still can help us get a few of those...

    Ok, for those who contacted me via email and asked about the possibility of unlocking the Pre via carrier (under the argument of overseas travel) here's the answer they gave me:

    "We are not allowed to unlock any phone even un-subsidized, it's in our policy"

    Yeah sure, that's because they want to sell International Roaming Plans at exorbitant prices... Damn Telcel... >

    So no, I can't provide you with unlock codes for these Pres.

    If you are still interested, let me know.
