Removed all patches via the emergency patch removal tool/patch a few days back, and still it says the phone is up to date.

Took the battery out, rebooted, tried via Wi-fi, and EVDO, and nada.

    Any ideas/recommedations?

    Nope.

I've been dealing with the same thing... the general consensus thus far has been to either do a Partial Erase or visit the Doctor. I'm about a day away from breaking and doing one of those. ha

Have you tried connecting to web OS install on your PC and installing and then removing....had that problem once before and it actually reamoved all the "trace" that was left behind

It may not be the tweaks. My mother bought a Pre thursday and did nothing to the phone. And her phone would not update. She had to swap her phone out.
