    Perhaps we should all just
    Remember that it's an
    Excellent start to a

Really cool operating system that will
    Unite the world
Like the "other smartphones" never could and
    Eventually we will get
    Some kind of Calendar Search
    !

    Something hurts.

So I sit here trying to recover
    Unable to do so
    Cursing to the heavens
Kicking and screaming the whole way.

I think you see what I did here.

    EDIT: Oh yeah, go Pre.

    Kidding! I couldn't resist.

The I-phone by many has been dubbed as king
Unfortunately for them the Pre is challenging
Pre/Central.net, and a list of Homebrews
There is not much that the Pre can’t do
With that said, some functions it lasks
Most can be fixed with simple hacks
Everyday things seem to get better
With the hack of Mobile Hot Spot via freetether
Now no phone is perfect, on this we all can agree
But this is just version one you wait and see
I guess version two must be the Pre Plus
    Double memory without a fuss
Its amazing how long the I-phone has been around
Yet the plastic Pre is gaining ground
    The app catalog expands everyday
And with multiple carriers development is on its way
3D games play oh so smooth
And I love that I can play I-tunes
I am sure the apple is raving mad
Especially after the poor reception of its I-Pad
Apple says have an app for that which is not a must
But we will hack your app and make it work for us
I will end this poem of the Pre before it gets to boring
Abode hurry with flash and Palm with video recording.

But let me answer this portion of your post:

I want my Pre to do everything that a smartphone should do.
I want my Pre to do things that the Centro could do.

I'd like to quickly check my calender events
2 seconds between day flips makes no sense

I'd like to set a repeating task
I'd like the battery to last all day. It's not too much to ask.

When the phone rings, the buttons I touch
But the OS can get so busy that apparently answering is too much.

There's more that I could say
But that's enough complaining for today.
I'll just join in for a bit with a rebuttal to the rebuttal. 8^)

I don't know how fast it takes to be happy,
But for me, since 1.3, the Calendar's quite snappy.

And the rest of your pain points, I've heard them in batches,
But with the magic of PreWare, you can fix some with Patches.

I forgot the last time it was quite so easy
To change up a device and fit it right to me.

I agree, there are issues that need some addressing,
But I guess I don't see the point of the stressing.

To wrap up, mon ami, Palm's just started their climb,
Be patient with our phone, it's all coming in time.

Cheers. Talking in poetry is actually pretty fun.

    For everything else there's mastercard?

    Or an app for that?

Some resist patches and Homebrew type apps
If it's not labeled Palm (TM) they think it's a trap.
But, Palm built the platform that fosters such tweaking
So, it can be said in a manner of speaking
Palm shipped the Pre with all functionality
Some just needs to be released -- Thanks Homebrew community!

    Oh yeah...

There will be a Pre with 1-4
With Flash, video editting and more
    It'll launch on the 12th
    With extra goodies in stealth
Our first response? What does 1-5 have in store?

The 12th???? Do you know something we don't know, or were you looking for a word to rhyme with stealth?

I needed the rhyme. But I thought it would be fun to add to the hype (of course just a little while later, we got good evidence for the 15th)

Alas, my Pre, it could not be.

For the Pre is just a Phone
With apps and games, and neat ringtones.
So when you ask your Pre "to do"
Remember that it's not like you.

You want Pre to do everything
But to the table, nothing you bring
Demands are plenty in your life
So you treat you Pre with hate and strife.

Please be kind and gentle to Pre
And think of all the good that can be.
Look at your Pre, and throw it a bone.
Remember that it's JUST A PHONE!

    Have a WONDERFUL day people!
Funny i ask my pre to do a lot of things also......but it just keeps telling me that i have to many cards open for it lol j/k I love it.
