The back-lighting on the keyboard is very minimal so the ambient light needs to be low.

It is proportional to the display brightness. It would be nice if they were natively separate controls - anything to help with battery life.

Seriously though, in the 'screen and lock' app/menu thing, the brightness setting affects the keyboard as well as the screen. It should've been called the 'screen AND keyboard' brightness setting.

Don't forget about the Brightness Unlinked Patch...
Allows you to set the Screen and Keyboard brightness seperately.

Has anyone noticed that when they use Brightness unlinked Homebrew, and have the screen brightness almost all the way down, the keppad brightness does not turn on when opening the slider?

I have noticed this many times. It will be night time. I will be driving and using the touchstone. I will turn the display brightness down almost to 1, and then if I go into my messaging app, the keyboard will not light up at all, even though it is set at around 30. What is the status with this?
I am equivalent to a man dammit.
