Okay, I have homebrew apps, patches, etc. on my Palm Pre. I'm loving it.

I noticed a problem though. Whenever I have my Phone dialer app open, and I make a call and hold it to my face, it doesn't dim anymore. Is this because I have patches on my phone? I don't see how this would affect that though...

Can anyone provide any assistance on this matter at hand?

i believe under device info it has tests. One of them will test the diff sensors for you. try that first to see if it still works without the dialer. If not then dr it. If still not...time for a new one

Do you have a screen protector on? Sometimes they can interfere with the proximity sensor if they are loose or improperly installed.

Not necessarily. I just had the same problem, and I have no patches installed. See more in this recent thread, including how to get to the interactive test.
