If it is, then what the blank is taking so long??!!!!
And if it's not, what the blank is taking so long??!!
This is supposed to be a SMARTphone.
(and PLEASE don't tell me about patches, tweaking, twooking, twaking nor burgerking)

Not sure what you need, but I have full access to files via USB directly out of the box and with a little work (see http://forums.precentral.net/web-os-...manager-2.html last couple of entries) you can do it over WiFi – Yes drag and drop!

    Hope this helps.

You mean like "internalz," a Pre file manager that's been available for months?

    Like that?

I'm talking about managing the phone from the phone itself, from anywhere anytime.

Sounds like the Pre isn't the phone for you. If you don't want to tweak or patch then you should have waited at least year after the release of WebOS, then maybe it will meet your expectations.

Umm...if it is available, what is taking so long? Do you realize that you're making no sense?

He could also be referring to file upload from website forms, and that sort of stuff, not just what Internalz does.

Jason, i checked out that thread and yes, that is what i'm looking for.. in addition to what jhoff80 also stated.
I know you put alot of time into this to make it easier for everybody and i appreciate ur work. It's just that Palm needs to make things like this native to the phone b4 they lose john q. public, the guy that doesn't go to sites like this, and i'm sure that's the majority.
This beautiful new webOS is gonna fall off a cliff if they don't get crackin'.

    Are you serious?
Don't you have a file explorer on ur PC? Don't you use it?
Didn't you have a file explorer on ur previous phone? Didn't you use it?

I would actually agree with the comment by abid786. I know a few John Q Public people that own this phone and they are overjoyed to figure out how to move apps down into the launcher bar. A file manager isn't even on the radar of the average user.

What files do you want or need to explore? Is there a real need for this for the the average consumer? I thought it was odd at first too, but after using the phone i found i really didn't need or use it.
