Hmm, I can't figure out what's happening here. The sound is not working on the phone (slider switch is not muted), and the phone screen does not go black when held up to ear. The sound works when I press the speakerphone button. The sounds also isn't working for the music player, youtube, etc. Is there another place where the sound can be turned off? It was working earlier today :-( thanks in advance for any help you can offer,

Let me guess, you last had sound when you had the headphones plugged in?

Do you get sound through the headphones?

There's a bug where it doesn't always detect when you pull out the headphone plug, and it keeps trying to send the sound there instead of the external speaker. Try plugging in and unplugging the headphones several times rapidly. If you do it several times, it usually finally senses what has happened and sends sound back out to the external speaker.

Pulling and replacing the battery works for some folks to reset the sensor.
