I looked at my copy of carrierdb.json from GSM unlocked Pre 2. There is an entry there for Globe. (The MCC/MNC match the table on Wikipedia and also the Long name for carrier is a match.)

Here is a copy of the info for you to download.

Globe carrierdb.json

Follow the directions in THE FIRST POST HERE to edit the Globe info onto the end of her carrierdb.json file and send the new version to the phone.
one last question before trying this, is the apn in that .json file is "http.globe.com.ph" coz' thats the working apn here, i appreciate all the help, thank you so much sir

Here's the full entry... As you will see APN is not spelled out so simply. It is a long data string at the end:

Code:

*sigh* Well I had hoped...

Here is a long and technical help in Internals that may do the trick if you can follow along with all of it...

How to solve 3G data problems - WebOS Internals

i thinks the problem is the frequency band, this phone doesnt operate on my countries frequency band, i guess thats it, ive done everything i could to make that stupid 3g work, but still doesnt work, it sucks...

But it does have the correct frequencies on board the comm... Maybe just not paired right.

Globe runs their 3G on 850/2100 MHz and Pixi Plus has two "Channels" 2100 or 850/1900...

However, Sun runs their 3G only on 2100... You did say you tried a Sun SIM card and no 3G...

It's not the frequencies on the comm board.

I'd still investigate the Internals fix for 1.X phones and the CarrierPhoneSettings.db3 file.

Maybe after taking a break. LOL.
