Since yesterday I can't hear anything when I pick up a call. The party on the other end can't hear anything from me either. At first I thought one of my patches must be interferring, but after running EPR it still wasn't working correctly. I've read about Pres getting stuck in headset mode after using headphones, but I just ran webos doctor and the problem persists. Could this really be a software problem after running webos doctor? Heres the really weird part; at device info>more info>menu>interactive tests, the mic and ear piece speaker check out ok. I can hear sounds from that just fine. So, hardware or software? Should I talk to Sprint or Palm? The phone is about a month old.

I had the same problem, I just keep plugging in and removing a headphone jack about 10 times, that fixed it for me.

Yea that's what I've read, but no luck so far.

I think a new thread on this comes up about 3 times a week. It's not a software problem, it's a hardware issue. But it's pretty easy to fix. Some people get it to work by plugging and unplugging. But the most reliable fix is to take a qtip, strip off most of the cotton, dip it in rubbing alcohol, and stick it in the jack a few times. You should be good as new after that.

You may wish to do this once a month or so as preventive maintenance.

All I did was put the word Sound in the search engine - got lots of hits.
