I have been trying to install this for weeks via Preware. I have been getting the same error over and over again. Any idea why I can't the "Multi Mod" patch to install?

    Thanks

No answer for you, but just want to add I'm having the same problem. I get the IPKG error message. Latest version for PreWare and Package Manager.

I recall getting an error when first installing some other browser patches and then installing multi-mod. I got around it by removing the other browser patches (which I did not really care about) and just installing multi-mod (which I really wanted). I suspect there is a conflict or hidden dependency of not having one of the other patches installed.
    I'm both super! ... and a doer!

I got everything to work except this line "mount -o ro,remount / ". I exited it out to try again.

Where should I start? From the beginning?

Update: it said something about it can't mount because its busy or in use. Something in that context

doesn't work for me. I typed it all in correctly. Exited terminal. Restarted and tried to install the multi-mod through preware and got the same error. Not sure what the issue is but I'll just wait till a solution comes out.

    Thanks for the help!

Same problem here. I just Doctored the phone so I had a fresh install. No luck on the browser mod.

I noticed on the log it mentioned "Reversed (or previously applied) patch detected. Assume -R? [n]" among the many other lines. It also shows as checked on WOSQI but I can't undo it there.

I cant seem to uninstall the mod properly from WOSQI. It just shows up again as checked when I close then open the program. Also ran WebOS Repair Utility with no change.

    Hope this helps.

Shadavis08, I tried the terminal twice, but it didn't work.
I got an error message when I tried to remove the older Multi Mod patch.
    The IPKG log:
    Failed
    ErrorGenericMethodException:Failure during 'prerm' operation
/var/usr/palm/applications/org.webosinternals.patches.browser-multi-mod/browser-multi-mod.patch: No such file or directory
/var/usr/lib/ipkg/info/org.webosinternals.patches.browser-multi-mod.prem: line 17: cannot open / var/usr/palm/applications/org.webosinternals.patches.browser-multi-mod.patch: no such file
