    What the heck is a "Patch?"

    It is just a change in some of the code (programing) of the phone. It will then enable something you want to work or not work. It is that simple. Don't over think it.

    Not really. Typically, an "update" indicates something official from the publisher. Patches are more DYI

    Almost everything. You need to set it up by way of WebOS Q.I.
    Warning: install all programs you want from the App Catalog FIRST. Then do your additional installs from Q.I. or Preware. If you load up first with Preware, you will run out of room for the App Catalog. Preware can still install stuff once your App Catalog space is full.

    its an app that lets u install patches,themes,and apps to ur pre x) with no or very little effort
