RUMOR:GSM Palm Pre headed to Spain October 14th?
GSM Palm Pre headed to Spain October 14th?

I WILL TAKE IT AS A RUMOR, NOT INFO ON MOVISTAR SPAIN AND ON PALM SPAIN YET, ABOUT LAUNCH DATE. ???

According to Xatakamovil the Palm Pre will be available in Spain on Movistar October 14th. Movistar will be the exclusive carrier to hold the Pre in Spain. The Pre will cost between 0 and 129 Euros depending on your plan and contract.

Some more good news is Movistar supports both 900 and 1800 MHZ GSM so the Pre can work here on AT&T. The bands won't work on T Mobile sad to say but if we can get it unlocked we will be able to get it on at least one GSM carrier here in the states. Hackers get your tools ready! There are people waiting to use the GSM Pre.

This is exciting news just after Palm's news for developers and Paid apps coming to fruition in the App Catalog. Now we have one more carrier holding the Pre shortly and this means that the Pre user base will expand dramatically. More Pre's means more developers which means more apps!

THIS RUMOR IS NOW ON SPAIN WEBSITES:
    http://www.abc.es/20091007/ciencia-t...910070429.html

I have translated to English this info:
Next Wednesday October 14th, is the day chosen by Telefonica to launch in Spain, their new Smartphone Palm Pre. a mobile device of last generation that the carrier will distribute in exclusive in Spain.

A wide range of prices of the new Palm Pre will make possible to the new customers, from other carriers and Movistars, to purchase it, between EUR 0 to EUR 219.

So, for example with a monthly commitment of 29.8 EUR for voice traffic and 15 EUR for data, Palm Pre will cost 29 EUR in portability.

The Pre users will surf the web on high speeds, thanks to the wide mobile network HSDPA of Telefonica Spain, which has a superior coverage to 81% of the population.
