    I tried searching for this but didnt find anything on what I'm experiencing... Is it normal when I go to download an app from the App Catalog, I click on DOWNLOAD and the App Catalog will freeze for 30 - 45 seconds or more before doing anything then it finally starts to download?

    Also, Is it just me, or is anybody else getting a Server Error PMT01002 when trying to download things from the App Catalog?

    Yeah same thing is happening to me as well. Along with a few others from what I have read. I press download get a freeze for 45 seconds to a minute then it starts downloading.

    The server error isn't happening on every app I try to download. The one it is happening on is FriendsFlow. I was able to download a couple free apps but I haven't tried any other pay apps yet.

    Me too. I thought it was my connection, but it has happened several times.

    This happened to me -- the first app I tried I thought my Pre had locked up HARD. It did recover after about 45-60 seconds. The next few downloads I did were somewhat better, the freezes were shorter.

    same thing for me w/all paid apps. Started after I updated profile w/CC info. Cannot purchase any aps...running os 1.2.1

    Don't bother calling china palm tech support...they are dumber than average user...only help ever is if you can get ''support specialist''. I assume they have an issue on their servers they need to get worked out.

    Ok, I get the error (Weatherbug) and I tap 'OK' - are you saying I should see the download starting after a minute or so after that, or if I get the server error I'm s.o.l.

    From my experience I click download on an app and it waits for about 30-45 seconds then starts downloading. If I get the Server Error I'm S.O.L. just as you said hehe. This is kind of annoying... WHY WONT THEY JUST TAKE MY FREAKING MONEY!!!! LoL

    regarding weather bug they have problems with their maps today at least thats what the email said they sent me about a half hour ago

    I'm having the same issues with trying to download WeatherBug Elite as well. (Just take my GD money!!!) LOL.
    I hope to god I'm not getting charged everytime I get this error.

    Yeah I got this, actually the first time I tried it it just froze up. And didn't try to download at all, so I closed and tried again. Took a good 30-45 seconds but the enter password dialog finally came up to authorize the download.

    I was able to fix this problem: It is not caused by tweaks/hacks/homebrew apps. It may be worse with 1.2.1 update. I have found no errors in "upgrade of OS" with app catalog app being defective as some techs have suggested. I also do not think an total pre hard reset from scratch would help. The problem is in the update to the Palm Profile made before the first purchase.
    Problem for me was that I had changed email add in profile when entering CC from my pre when I first tried to make a purchase. I changed the email info back to my ''real'' address...this was an address I had once originally used w/a profile that was corrupted with duplicates a few months ago when I first got my pre. I wish palm could delete that old profile off the servers so I could again use my ''real'' email address.
    Once I accessed my palm profile from desktop computer & changed email back from desktop, confirmed change through email they sent me and then soft reset my pre (no data loss), I no longer get above error & could buy the app using evdo or wifi connections!
    I suspect the same problem would be caused if defective credit card info were entered. There is no way for the user to access this to change it from pre or desktop.
    It is still true that after clicking to purchase there is a 40 second delay or so while I assume their server checks the CC info. However, it then will process normally without the Server error PMT01002 error.
    Hope that helps you all. If you got wrong/bad CC info on profile make tech support fix that before they try to get you to crash and reset your pre!
    I am running Web OS 1.2.1. Loaded with system tweaks & homebrew apps.

    I was getting the server error. Fixed it by adding an account in the app catalog (I swore I did this a few weeks ago. Maybe it got lost with an update). Odd thing is, when I hit submit on the account info screen I got the same server error. I closed and re-opened the app catalog and my account was saved and I can d/l now. Definitely some weirdness here and the error msg could certainly be more helpful. Here's the end of the support chat:

    10:46 AM Gibson: Check if the device downloads it.
    10:50 AM Gibson: I didnít receive a reply. Are you there?
    10:50 AM James: still working on it
    10:50 AM James: looks like it worked.
    10:50 AM Gibson: Okay.
    10:50 AM Gibson: That is great to know!
    10:51 AM Gibson: Have I answered all of your questions?
    10:51 AM James: Can you give me any info on that particular error code? Is it a bug?
    10:52 AM Gibson: No, its not a bug. If you want to purchase an application, you need to enter the CC info in the Palm Profile.
    10:52 AM Gibson: The CC info on the palm profile can only be entered using the device and that is the reason you received that error message.
    10:53 AM James: I see. Still seems to pop up at the wrong time and it's not too informative. Anyway, I'm happy. Thanks for the help!

    Uninstall Preware and the package manager service.

    Or search the forums, this has been discussed already.

    I have been trying to log into the catalog since Thanksgiving weekend. I tried it on my son's Palm Pixi and it worked fine. So I clicked on the Preferrences and come to find out there was no account in there for me. Well, I put an account in and it still doesnt like it and I am getting the the PMT01002 error.

    I am getting error when I am putting in the credit card info which I KNOW is good.

    Any help?
