Doesn't work in 1.1 as far as I can see. I just tried it (hopefully I'm doing it correctly).

How do I get the 4231 to work?

is it orange, then 4231 or orange before each number. or just press those buttons, no orange? it hasn't worked for me.

thanks.

4231 didnt work for me but the other one did. Do you have to hit the orange button each time?

nvm

I held the orange button and pressed the #s and it worked.

I run a 'diff' on all the .js and .html files for every WebOS release. These eastereggs were in a new section of code.

It is a toggle. So if you re-enter the codes it toggles off the features.

it allows you to use clock app in landscape too. Or did it always do that?

One-minute intervals is nice, but getting rid of those useless notifications is priceless! Thanks!

The fact that does a notificatin when you enter the code correctly made me laugh for some reason. Reminded me of the special sound some games make when you correctly enter a cheat code.

Right? I've also never heard that sound played before on the phone.

I think that was the effect that the engineer who implemented it was trying to achieve.

I'm also sure they read these forums and put these things in because there were people who were asking for them.

Maybe there wasn't time to get a full user interface together for it, or work out all the details of the feature to make for a fluid user experience. And yet with the easter egg, adventurous people could type these codes in and still get the benefit of the feature while understanding that it may not be fully supported.
