I've had my pre since late june, and recently the headphone jack has stopped playing music out of it. i know its not a problem with the headphones because they work fine with my ipod, and i have the insurance, but i dont want to have to pay the deductible. if i take it down to the sprint store, would they replace it for free?

    I believe they would.

As I understand it, you only have to pay a deductible if it's being replaced because of damage, water or theft.

If the phone stops working without one of those things happening, they should replace it. In fact, I believe Palm offers a 1-year warranty against defects, so you should try that if Sprint tries to charge a deductible.
