Is there a way to clear the browser start page? Or do I just have to add a whole lot of bookmarks to get the ones on there currently to cycle off?

Click on the Web menu (upper left corner) when in the browser and to go Bookmarks.

Swipe off the bookmarks you don't want.

Hmmm, but that deletes the actual bookmark, no? I just wanted to remove the recently created bookmarks from the start page; either clear them all off the page or make the page custom, I don't really care.

The bookmarks are what shows up on the start page. The bad news is it puts the new ones at the top of the list. Not sure why, this annoys me. Anyway, from the bookmarks (under the menu) you can also drag and re-order them. So if you don't want the new ones at the top of the start page move the ones you do want to the top.
