whats the consensus here on the best battery upgrade to get for the pre?

the 3800 makes your phone an inch the 2800 should be more then enough unless you can't charge very often for some reason

Mattman, i can only get like 3 hours of phone usage if i want to really use it with Web and apps.

would i get a solid full day of usage with the 2800?

Also can someone using battery Moniter that has an upgraded battery say what the battery moniter says the size of the battery is?

Lol, heard there is a new 39000 battery coming out with matching backpack in a matte finish. Will get you a week without having recharge...only takes three days to fully charge.

Either is fine if you want to carry around a brick in your pocket

I have the amzer 2800 and it works great! Ok, the back is a bit thicker but its not really that noticeable. It fits very nice in the hand and still fits snugg into my pocket. It fact, it feels more solid than the original back.

As for battery life, the first day I got it I had pandora running 5+ hours and still had 30% at end of day, say 10 pm. You should get it.

As for the 3800, the pictures made it clear that it would be a brick.

If you go with one of these will the pre still fit in the Seidio belt clip holder?

I have seidio 2600 and I love it, I could not see needing anything more.
I "work" (unpaid clinical) inside a vault lined with lead for 8 hours a day - Roaming for the entire 8 hours
I stream pandora for approximatly 3 hours a day
I have all of my location service/gps on
I have two email accounts which sync "as they arrive"
    Use the web browser liberally

My phone is off the charger at 6am and I have yet to drop below 40% battery when I put it back on the charger at 11-11:30 pm.

I dont know what else I could do to try to kill this battery, simply amazing

Seidio 2600 will last all day even if you do a lot of browsing and Pandora.
unless you have a charger around all day the Pre is useless without an extended battery.

The extra size the battery adds actually makes the Pre easier to hang onto.
I still put it in my front pocket with out a problem.

Is there a difference in size between the Seidio 2600 and the Amzer 2800?

seems like one of these two is the smart choice

will the pre still fit in the included pouch with the seidio 2600?

Shouldn't they give you a wagon to pull it behind you.

I think if I ever have a dead battery on my car I could just pull my seidio 2600 out of my phone and jump my car... probably would even put a dent in the battery's overall charge

I posted a review of the seidio 2600 in the accessories forum, it should be on page one or two, go check it out. My vote would go to the Seidio 2600 simply because it is cheaper and they have excellent customer service.
