I'm looking for anyway that I can stream Leo Laporte on my Palm Pre. The URL to his live stream is: http://twit.am/listen

I believe it directs you to a .m3u file so the actual URL should be http://twit.am/listen/listen.m3u

Haven't had much luck finding a homebrew app that supports this.

    Thanks in advance.

Are you sure that's a live streaming? When I go to their website, it looks like they do podcasts, in which case you could use drPodder to download and listen to.

Check that, I was able to stream it just fine. Went to their website, clicked on live, got the window that shows you need Flash to see the video, but clicked on the box below to listen to it on twit.am and it launched it's own window and started streaming.

I do this all the time through DrPodder. This is not LIVE though.
I do it for Audio as well as video.
DrPodder already has the audio podcasts.

    For video:
Just add this stream to the program and you are all set. ii
Just add this URL as a new podcast
    ODTV

I LOVE Twit. Leo is a good guy. I am on the chat there and I put in plugs for this site and the Pre etc... I am the Pre ambassador if you will. ii

Yeah I do use Dr.Podder to listen to his podcasts, but I was referring to his live streaming (like how Pandora works).

On my old Blackberry, I used an app called BerryTunes which allowed me to type in the live stream URL and it would stream it no problem.

You went to http://live.twit.tv right? And clicked on the URL below the flash window? That takes you to http://twit.am/listen/listen.m3u which opens in the Palm Music player. The player will for whatever reason detect the first 14 seconds of the live stream, and hitting play will only play the 14 seconds of the stream before cutting off.

Pandora isnt live streaming...bad example. You mean Shoutcast (since those are live stations, but non-live music).

I'd love to be able to stream the audio at least too. For some reason the Pre doesn't know how to properly handle the stream from twit.am/listen and we probably won't be able to stream the video until we get flash from Adobe next month.
