    So ... I guess I'm the one of the few people to break the hardware with software.

    I was experimenting with the tethering code, I'm not sure what I did but I can't use encryption. I called upon the doc and he didn't fix it. So, I ran the hardware self-tests and I got "Code 25: WiFi Area."

    I'm not at all familiar with diagnosing hardware problems with linux so, if there are any gurus out there who want to play with it, I'll give you root access maybe.

    Google is amazing ... sorry.

    All it means is that the wifi is not currently connected to a network, connect to the network and run again.

    And now it magically connects ... weird.
