    It's called a defect. Go exchange it.

    Thanks. Can I go to a Sprint store and just have it replaced right there? How much will it cost?

    If your in the first 30 days it's under a warrenty and they should just swap it. You may have to wait on a replacement though.

    But yeah i'd goto sprint if you know 100% you didn't do it. Otherwise if you did, report it to insurance and pay $100 for a new one (assuming you have the coverage)

    If you do a search on "discoloration" you may find more information on this one. It's one of those hardware defects that have gotten a lot of attention around here.
    Palm III-->Handspring Visor-->Sony Clie PEG-NR70-->no PDA -->Palm Treo 755p-->Palm Pre-->HP Veer

    Is it really just 30 days? I'd expect a defect like that to be switched out whether he has insurance or not or if its less than a year.

    Support - How do I obtain warranty coverage for my device?
