    Is there an app that tells you what song is playing when you hold the phone up to the speaker?

    Should we post a request in the homebrew section? Would it make a difference?

    There a phone service though. Place a call, hold the speaker up, and they will tell you what it is.

    And of course, I don't recall the name

    EDIT: Maybe this is it: 411 Song: Name-that-tune service

    Not free though. At least that will give you something to search off of though, and find a free one.

    I don't think that service is available any more. The site 411song.com doesn't work.

    If it is on blackberries, it will make its way to the pre. Honestly, the fact that facebook apps are making their way onto the pre tells me that the flood gates are about to open!

    Palms' current SDK does not have a microphone API.

    So no, it won't come until Palm updates the SDK a bit.

    Yeah I hope an app like this makes it to the Pre.
    Sony Clie --> Tungsten t2 --> iPhone3g --> Palm Pre --> Droid
