my sms messages dont show up

i deleted all of my conversations to clean up my messages. But now, when I get a new text in the notification area, when i open it it just takes me to a blank conversation page, not allowing me to see the newest message. What gives?

This problem seems to be popping up alot here. I have the same annoying problem.

If you start typing a contacts name from the main Messaging App page, it will bring up their conversation.

I'm having a slightly different issue with sms...if I'm talking on the phone or on the contacts screen sometimes I'll hear the new message sound and for a brief second see the notification start to come up at the bottom of the screen and then disappear. After that I can't find the new text anywhere.

Well i'm gald Im not the only one, I just want to get all the convos back to the convo page.... I should of never deleted them in the first place

The samething happened to me.. With one contact.. I found my convos with him coming only on the buddies side instead of conversations... I deleted contact and removed and readded my aim, and that corrected the problem.. (of course I readded the contact)

ugh, I don't want to have to do that for the 20 or so contacts that i've had conversations for, there HAS to be something to fix this!

i deleted the contacts that wouldnt show sent them a text then once i got a reply and it showed in the messaging app...i re-added the contact and linked any other necessary profiles....worked for me
