basically, the only way i know of updating a homebrew app is uninstalling it then reinstalling the newest version, is there a different way where it just updates it without having to uninstall it first?

I just update the apps with filecoaster without uninstalling. Some apps even carry over the settings that way.

Yep, I even successfully updated FileCoaster itself this way...

^^ I do the exact same thing. And even went to filecoaster 1.1.1 the same way.

The only time I have to uninstall the app is if they have renamed it to something else. Like the checkers and the golf one (I think)
