Voice Cutting in and Out

When on a phone call, often times, my phone call will cut in and out when listeing to it in "phone" mode. When in "speakerphone" mode on the same call and same location, the phone call stays connected with out intermittant voice and no voice. I don't know how to describe it at all but it's like when I am on a phone call I am holding up a phone to my ear and the next moment a brick and then again a phone. It's annoying. I took it in for service and it didn't happen to them so they just cleaned my mic and speaker but that obviously didn't solve the problem.
