I have a HP Notebook, and I would get a BSLservice.exe error whenever I connected my Palm Pre to the notebook.

I didn't know what the issue was, but apparently the previous palm's have issues with HP computers as well. And it seems like an issue with the bitlocker of windows.

So if anyone is having the same issues, then go to the HP website and there should be a Bitlocker update for the individual notebook/desktop.

Hope this helps, cause it is really annoying, there was a pop-up that would come every 5-10 minutes regarding the BSLservices.exe.

I have an HP notebook and have had several Palms, but never had this problem.

You are lucky, cause it got really annoying after a while. But I think this happens with certain laptops and desktops. Not all.

    Disable the service.

It sounds like a useless backup service from HP.

Clean OS install > factory OS install

There is just way too much extra crap that gets loaded from the factory, and a lot of said crap causes problems.
