I asked a question. If you don't have an answer, don't comment please. Everyone has to have their two cents. I don't care about what you think. I just want an answer. And there will be some kind person on this site that might know the answer and help me out. Thats all I want.

I "think" it may be possible to use Orb to access a radio stream from your home PC, but I have never used Orb and haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Check out the site at MyCast your digital media with Orb 2.0 remote pc access software. I have read that it works on the Pre but, like I said, I haven't had a chance to test it out myself and I'm not sure exactly what the functionality is.

Default MyPreRadio.com -> KSYL -> Glenn Beck

Streaming radio is problematic for the Pre. (Only certain flavors of streams work.)

MyPreRadio.com maintains a list of streams known to work.

Went to their News & Talk link and clicked on all of the non-NPR program guide links.

Found KSYL - Alexandria LA lists Glenn Beck 5-8 PM weekdays, 1-4 PM Saturday.

Hope That Helps.

(more helpful version with links inhibited by forum policy :-( )

Quite the reaction for an offhanded remark. I believe he was kidding around.

Oh, and yes, streaming is not all there yet (flash will turn that around). Have you looked for podcasts of Beck? I know it would not be realtime, but a reliable way to get it every day. Plus, with some of the scrub and bookmarks homebrew work, it makes for a much better experience than going through commercials.

Try:

The Mobile Stream Center USA - Listen to United States Radio Stations on your Pocket PC, Palm, iPhone, iPod touch, Smartphone, or other PDA or mobile device via Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE or 3G

Most work, other than the stations have (for PDA only) next to them.

I too have been trying to find a streaming station for Glenn, but I haven't had any success. As for podcasts, you have to subscribe to Glenn Beck Program which I may end up doing in the end, than again gigaorg is right, once Flash hits the Pre a lot of things will turn around (for the better that is).

One more thing, I did however find this site Glenn Beck Streaming on the Internet which lists all of the stations he's on, maybe if someone was able to strip down the code and find the streaming link for any of them it could possibly work.

The biggest problem with Sprint radio is that you can't turn off your screen without the music stopping, and that you can't minimize the app to do something else while the music is playing. On a phone that is all about multitasking, that is a MAJOR oversight to me. They better fix this if they want Sprint Radio to be actually functional. The problem is that it is integrated into Sprint TV, and naturally, the screen needs to be on to watch TV, and, the Pre just pauses any video playback as soon as a card is minimized.

Let me guess: he's a left wing democrat And I'm loving my Palm Iphone. Just saying, in case some had not figured it out, he's not a very unbiased source of commentary (not that anything on Fixed News is). But this thread did veer a wee bit off topic.

"Cooking with poop!" Yeah that was classic.

I like to get my news from all sides. I start my morning with NPR, listen to a little stern, catch Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN at night. Read the NYT and WSJ when I have time. Just saying, if you only listen to people you like, you may miss out on some interesting perspectives.

Hahahaha! +1

Are there ANY political talk radio hosts (on either side) who are not rediculously biased to one side or the other?

No what I am saying is he is not a typical Pro right all the time person. He has bashed Bush when he needed it many times. I like him because he just tells it like it is. A Common Sense party if you will. I like common sense politics, not left or right. I personally consider myself right leaning libertarian. Not a Ron Paul one mind you. I just want the Gov out of our lives and leave businesses alone to work things out with competition etc... Less government and less control is all I am saying. I vote republican usually as they are closer to my views but they are far from perfect in any way.

Glenn is also very religious but I am not so I don't agree with him on everything. However he is very Pro Founding Fathers which I also am. I want so see this country stay on course of being free like it was intended and Obama is turning it into a socialist, totally Government controlled mess. If you cannot see THAT then you have other problems.

I am sick of all the PC crap. I am sick of Obama getting a pass on everything because he is African American. As the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "...they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Obama's character is not good for this country.

The left is so off base these days it is scary. They quote Sarah Palin as saying "I can see Russia from my house". I have seen that reported by many left sources and it was said on Saturday Night Live. Sarah Palin never said that. Idiots!
.

I also listen to a lot of NPR and other sources.

No more politics but I felt I had to say that. Sorry to have got off topic myself. ii

I felt a need to vent, sorry guys. I am done.
