    Strange. Not high enough? It makes me deaf if I put it at max.

    Try looking into systems settings for volume. There isn't any other way except to increase the volume of the MP3 itself, I assume. Or perhaps you just need better headphones.

    The phone will detect if you're using headphones or speaker phone, and maintains a separate volume for each. If you set the volume to max with the speaker, then plug in headphones, you might see a drop.

    If you're sure that you've maxed it for your current listening device, then you're probably out of luck. I know with the brightness slider, it turned out that you could alter the code to get a lower brightness, not sure if you might be able to do the same with the music player to get a louder volume. Probably going to distort above what they have set for max.

    Other option is to edit the music files directly to increase volume, but that's obviously a lot of work. A few programs should allow you to do that in a batch, which takes a little of the sting out of it.
