    getting -85 to -96 at home I usually have good to decent reception when I am home.

    how do you interpret the numbers? Is a lower rssi value better? how about the EC?

    Yes, the higher the RSSI value, the better. This means if yours is in the negative value, then the closer it is to 0, the better.

    Of course, all of this signal comparison doesn't mean anything unless you have a reference from before the update.
