    Hi All ,

    Correction!!!

I have about 15 dots which i see and dont see it depends on the angles I look at the phone they scater from up to down about 5 rows horosontaly.
I will try to post a pic.
It doesnt seem like dead pixels. It looks like the back lights of the screen or the light map.
Do any of you see these?
BTW do you think a software update could fix the grid problem ?

    Thanks

p.s. My computer just went crazy and the keyboard mixed some keys up.
No Angles or Donts this time !.
    Thanks

Do you have a screen protector on? If yes it has been reported here several times that certain screen protectors make the matrix of the touch screen visible.

There are normal. I believe it part of the touch screen. That is... If they are evenly space through all of the screen.

I believe those are elements of the touchscreen. I can see them on mine in JUST the right light and at JUST the right angle, with the screen turned off.

Man, I can't decipher at all what you are asking. There is are 15 angels on your screen?

They are the touch sensors for the screen. Nothing to see here, carry on.

I saw it too once I installed the screen protector but I think its the phone its self. Its only visible when the phone off . I just figured it was a grid for the touch screen.

I have a visible grid as well. If the OP's like the one on this pre it is not normal. I am on my 2nd and it had a few dead pixels as well as the 1st, but the grid is overly visible on it. I can see it with the device on and holding it at a slight angle. With my first Pre the grid was invisible unless off and in bright light. This one was visible with the brightness up or all the way down.

The Tech at sprint said it was an issue with the screen and that Palm has made an improvement with the screen and the pixels and visible grid should not be as common. He had no clue the SDK was leaked or that people had started making homebrews(pimp my pre) so he didn't seem in the loop too much and I hardly trust him on Palm issues.

Upon further reading, My issue is different. There are no angels or demons on my screen. I don't have any Do's or Dont's that are visible from any angle either.

Noticed this too a few days ago...I thought it was dead pixels but it was too perfectly aligned. The thin lines between the grid dots look like a spider web. Can't really see it unless you shine a light directly on the screen or at a 45 degree angle from the side.

Fair warning, I see every minor detail in electronics..

Anyone able to notice them with the screen on like I can? Looks like dust under the screen. Granted at the angle with the screen on its only about three or four I can see at a time. Can easily notice them with the screen off and if looking close enough can see the lines that connect the dots. Kinda looks like chain link fence.

    True story:

I can see the matrix only in direct sunlight.

    It doesn't bother me.

Ooh, matrix? I've got them too. I'm going to swap my day-old pre for another one tonight, though, to hopefully not have a dead pixel in the middle of the screen. We'll see if they are as noticeable on the new one; on my current one, they're easily visible when the screen is on.

I have this issue also with my current pre. I can see a few dots at a time that move around and aligned on a grid while the phone is turned on. Didn't haapen with my first Pre. However it isn't a constant thing (mostly when viewing all same color screen when checking for dead pixels) so I am not sure if I should try again with a new phone.

I could not see the grid on my first two pre's but I can all the time on my current one. I am also getting the slider crash/shutdown problem. I really don't want to exchange it again, less than a week to decide.

Will be interested to hear how the grid is on your next one. I have slit oreo, some bad backlighting in the top left corner, and a stuck pixel I think. Its more like dust really. My first pre def had a dead pixel. On the gray screen light would show through.
